Philosophy
We believe in relevance beyond fashion trends. That’s why our architecture is clear, radical, and sustainable. Made by people for people, not for prestige or short-lived vogues.

We are general planners who work in big interdisciplinary teams. We have learned to listen carefully and give the best idea priority over hierarchical structures. We're convinced that architecture can truly succeed when there is a common vision and everyone puts their vanity aside now and then.
Working together at eye level is a key concern for us. This applies not only to our collaboration with our clients and partner offices, but also within our own company. With our team of 100 employees, we can draw on a wealth of experience. We have a broad range of expertise and can respond quickly and flexibly to changing challenges.
Buildings that are used by many different people require long-lasting, socially sustainable planning. We design spaces that are inclusive, versatile and flexible, where communities can form and the diversity of life can be reflected. We also started thinking about environmental sustainability early on in terms of materials, energy efficiency and the associated technology. Our sustainability department advises our project teams and supports them from the competition stage right through to handover.
Franz&Sue&the loose mitten.Good architecture is not a skin-tight glove precisely tailored to a specific use, rather a loose mitten that accommodates multiple functions, including those not yet foreseeable.
Franz&Sue&the No.We stick to our values and take our responsibility to everyone who encounters our architecture very seriously. Therefore, a No is just as important to us as a Yes.
Many of our projects are located in complex inner-city areas. These buildings are often listed and of high existing quality. With our expertise, we identify the architectural potential, develop it further and bring ageing buildings into the present day.
