Achievements

Franz&Sue are winners. In the past few years we have won about 25 competitions in the fields of school buildings, residential and office construction as well as prominent projects such as the design of Vienna’s U5 metro line, the Salzburg courthouse or the IST Chemistry Lab in Klosterneuburg. We don’t rest on our laurels, though. At the moment, six of our projects are under construction and around 20 are in the planning stage.

Franz&Sue
don’t do things
by halves

Franz&Sue have evolved into a successful architectural enterprise. We five partners first met as architecture students at university. After graduation, three of us founded Sue and the other founded Franz: two separate architectural practices independent of each other. During our legendary ‘fight club’ discussions we noted that not only do we share the same approach to architecture, but we also speak the same language when it comes to our business culture and our commitment to building culture. In May 2017 we finally merged to form Franz&Sue.

Franz&Sue
always learn
something new

Those who know Franz&Sue also know that we love to explore new paths. Therefore, we are very much looking forward to a new project that is very close to our hearts: our Quartiershaus. An office building right next to Vienna’s new Central Station in the new Sonnwendviertel quarter that we are developing, planning and building, and will be using ourselves from January 2019. Our personal creative cluster with its own café and shared event rooms.
